Terms and Condition of entry


  1. By entering this event you agree and understand you will act responsibly and adhere to the rules of the road and countryside.
  2. Event entry fees cannot be refunded or transferred under any circumstances. If you are unable to complete the challenge, your entry fee will go to Cancer Research UK.
  3. It is up to those taking part to decide their own route and to make sure the route is safe.
  4. You also accept that the The Rotary Club, cannot be held responsible for personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability during the challenge.
  5. It is the organisers view that children under 16 should be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. If you as parent wish to allow your child to ride unaccompanied then you take full responsibility for what ever happens to him.


VERY IMPORTANT – Keep to the Rules of the Road

  1. At all times you must obey the Highway Code and be aware of other road users and the dangers they present.
  1. Take particular care at all junctions, while turning right and when entering moving traffic.
  2. The roads are in use by others so do not attempt to overtake in dangerous places and never over take on the inside.
  3. Please do not wear headphone while cycling as you will not hear sirens or traffic coming up behind you.
  4. Avoid drinking alcohol as it dehydrates you and could result in an accident.
  5. Keep your distance from other riders as they may break suddenly.
  6. Do not race down hills there may be pot holes or hidden bends.
  7. There are areas where road surfaces may be poor and particular care should be taken when this is so.

Helmets

It is the organisers’ view that all riders should wear cycling protective helmets.


Insurance

The Rotary Club have public liability insurance. All riders are responsible for their own personal accident insurance .
